Create a modpack server (Example: All the Mods 8)

To create a Modpack server, you first need an (empty) Minecraft Forge server.
In the following example the All the Mods 8 Modpack is used. However, these steps can be applied to almost any modpack.

  1. Visit the Modpack page on Curseforge, select the modpack server pack and download it.
  2. With many modpacks, the Forge version to be used is either in the server pack or in the description. Make a note of the Forge version and the Minecraft version of the modpack.
  3. Now log into our game panel and open your server.
  4. Set the Forge version in the Startup tab. If no forge version is specified on the modpack page, you must leave the "Forge Version" field empty and only fill the "Minecraft Version" field with the appropriate version.
The format for the Forge version is "MinecraftVersion-ForgeVersion", e.g. "1.19.2-43.2.3":
  5. Now go to the Settings tab and click on the Reinstall server button to install the new Forge version.
  6. After the installation is complete, you need to upload the contents of the previously downloaded server pack to your server.
You can do this either via SFTP or the panel's web file browser. Note, however, that you cannot upload folders directly from the web file browser.
Important: Do not upload "user_jvm_args.txt", "unix_args.txt", "startserver.bat" or "startserver.sh" files! Example:

  7. As soon as all files are uploaded you can start your server and start playing!
